Fillers

As we age, the natural volume and elasticity of our youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds settle in. Fillers are used to enhance your natural appearance and restore your skin’s volume and smooth away deep lines and facial creases, revealing a more youthful appearance. Fillers are injected into the lines, folds and tissues of the face and body to decrease the appearance of wrinkles and hollowness and restore the fullness that decreases with age.  

Areas that Dr. Nabatian treats with fillers include smile lines (nasolabial folds), frown lines, tear troughs (dark under eye circles), cheeks, hollow temples, thin lips, lines around the lips, jawline, chin augmentation, neck lines, and the back of the hands. Dr. Nabatian uses a variety of different fillers including Juvéderm® and Restylane® and Belotero® which are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in skin. 

Dr. Nabatian also uses biostimulatory fillers including Radiesse®, which is made of calcium hydroxyapatite, which is similar in composition to bone, and Sculptra®, which contains Poly-L-lactic acid. Both Radiesse® and Sculptra® stimulate collagen production. Although dermal fillers are highly effective, they get absorbed by the body over time and additional treatment and injections may be required to maintain the desired effect.
