Cryosurgery

Cryosurgery is the use of extremely cold temperatures produced by liquid nitrogen to destroy abnormal skin tissue. Cryosurgery can be used to treat benign growths such as warts and seborrheic keratoses. It can be used to treat pre-cancerous growths such as actinic keratoses and in limited cases even early-stage skin cancers, such as basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
